---------------

The REBO (Robious Explorers Booster Organization) has approximately 8-12 lead parent volunteers. The REBO meets monthly during the school year, and all meetings are open to parents, teachers, the Gifted Coordinator, and members of the administration and guidance office.

REBO Responsibilities

The REBO does not duplicate the activities of the Robious Middle School PTA. The REBO works to strengthen the gifted education experience by supporting

  • The Instructors by purchasing classroom materials and supplies, underwriting professional education expenses, and volunteering onsite.
  • The Curriculum by funding activities, obtaining guest speakers, providing specific materials for enrichment events, implementing resource development efforts, and offering professional expertise.
  • The Students by gathering information about gifted education opportunities, serving on the PTA board to ensure coordination of activities, delivering orientations and workshops, and coordinating social activities.
  • The Families by providing centralized communications, managing volunteers and parent resources, sharing links to national information and academic findings on gifted education, delivering workshops for parents, providing information on programs available specifically to students in Chesterfield County gifted education programs, updating parents on county policies affecting gifted education, and representing the community internally and externally.
